How to get to the Historic Center

The Historic Center is easily accessible by car, bus, or metro.

By car, you can take the N-340 or A-7 highway. Parking in the Historic Center can be tricky, so it is recommended to park in a public parking lot or a paid parking lot.

By bus, you can take line 1, line 2, or line 14. The closest bus stop to the Historic Center is the “Marqués de Larios” stop.

By metro, you can take line 2 to the “Marqués de Larios” station.

 

Tips for visiting the Historic Center

  • The Historic Center is a popular tourist destination, so it can get crowded, especially during the summer months.
  • If you are planning on visiting many of the attractions in the Historic Center, it is a good idea to buy a Málaga Card. The card gives you free admission to many of the city’s museums and attractions, as well as discounts on other activities.
  • If you are interested in street art, be sure to wander the streets of the Historic Center at night. Many of the city’s murals are illuminated at night, making them even more impressive.
